about
the conference
Bodily motion and posture have important anthropological, social and religious significance.
This conference is intended to study how Ancient Near Eastern languages, esp. the Biblical languages, express motion (rising, running, falling, etc.) and posture (standing, sitting, prostrating, etc.) and their relevance for the understanding of the Bible, its reception and effects, in particular in Jewish and Christian exegesis.

The conference is sponsored by the European Commission in the frame of the Project “POSTURE”.
